View Full Version : Which Wing?
I'm in the process of changing from a 12l cylinder and pony to twin 7s. I'm wondering about a wing but not sure which would suit this set up best. Any advice appreciated!
thanks, Georgie

Get as small a twinset wing as you can find. 40lbs of lift will be more than enough.

I can't or won't comment about "which is best" because that's a debate best left well alone IMHO however, I can praise OMS having owned a single bladder with IQ harness for some time. I find it to be very comfortable with my 7's. I use SDS's latching system which allows me to seperate wing from 7's within seconds.
One question you might ask yourself, which would go a long way to helping you decide how much lift you need combined with all the other facets involved in deciding what kit to buy is... 'What type of diving are you (going to) do(ing)?'
If your firmly within recreational (god I hate labels) diving then you won't need dual bladder & 100lb lift, if on the the other hand you do intend to participate in 'technical' jollies then the answer might be different.

I'm happy with mine,,,,
Use with either Twin 7's,10's or dumpy 12's

My Suggestions:
Halcyon Explorer 45 or
Diverite Classic
Get a Nigel Plate, and buy some webbing to make up the Harness.
With twin 7's you don't want a wing bigger than the two above.

I wouldn't deal with that bunch. They just ran out again. Are you guys eating them or something? We used to do 50 a year and now 50 don't last two months.
Guys
Thanks for your help. I'm looking forward to going shopping!

Surely there will comes a point where everyone's got one? Are there really that many divers out there? Do you get oevrseas orders? Just wondered, as theyr'e a good bit of kit, but surely there must come a time when yu're at saturation point, as they'll last a lifetime.

Well you certainly aren't going to break one. *GRIN*
We've shipped them to Italy and several other European countries and I've sent the drawings further afield to people who wanted to cut/fold their own. It doesn't make money in the overall company scheme of things but it pays its way so it can stay on the product list. There is a nice feeling about encouraging something that I feel is a good idea.

So when does the CombroCCR go on the books, then? *grin*
