Hello Everyone,
This is my first time on the BSAC Forums. I got involved with diving in 1968 watching old "Sea Hunt" and Jacques Cousteau shows. In 1988, I became a PADI instructor (I am currently a MSDT). Since then, I have also added the CMAS** Instructor rating, and I really enjoy the mentoring method of teaching.
Besides diving, I also enjoy reading, sailing, kayaking, camping and hiking. I work as the Senior Instructor and Customer Service Rep for a large "Click & Mortar" Dive Center.
I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. You can also see more about me at www.myspace/standingbear56, although I don't update that site as often as I should.
I hope to be chatting with everyone soon.
Take care, and Happy, Safe Diving,
George

Hi George

Welcome. Your Myspace stuff would seem to indicate that you might be a decent bloke. :)

I quite like many Americans, some are even close relatives. :)

Thanks Andy!
Florida is a great place - I lived in the St.Pete/Clearwater area for several years. I still miss it.
Where are your inlaws located? I'm in the Hudson Valley, I may know them.
Take care,
George

Hi Tony,
Heh Heh, I guess I have everyone fooled! :D Actually I do try. We Americans tend to grow on ya, especially the relatives.

Hi Steven,
Thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately no, I haven't been diving in the UK yet. :( Hopefully that will change someday. Gotta visit the mother country sometime! If those plans come to life, I'll definitely post and let you know. It'd be nice to meet you all.
Take care,
George
