Hi all, I wonder if anybody can give any info regarding diving Llandudno pier as a shore dive, if its worth the bother ect ect, some time ago I went to have a look at the access and found steps down to the water, but the water was very murky, but I would like to give it a try, can you help.

Hello Nick

Dont' know about Llandudno but Trefor Pier 'just around' the corner is definatley worth a look get the tides right and you can have an excellant bimble, but be warned stay inside the pier legs as the local angelers catchphrase, did i realy say that?, is 'catch you later' and if you want a really interesting weekend try 'Psycho' House for B&B air available.
In fact i seem to remember DIVER doing a piece on it a couple of years ago. Have a look on DIVERNET. Ccricheth is also worth a look.

Anyway just do it

Keep on pier Divin'

I have heard of People diving off the pier , but never done it myself so to that end information i have is second hand.

Diving off the pier is best done just past the ladies toilet on the right hand side of the pier , where there is a large gap between the pier struts (beware small boats use this as a shortcut). Underwater there is a large dished hole which is said to be home to Large Congers and plenty of them and as some fisherman have said they are LARGE.
