Not been around or thinking about diving for some months and missed you lot here. You know the banter and stuff :D

Any way pressures of life and the economy have forced me to rethink my diving strategy. I've decided to quit until late next spring then do a 3 months stint. Get kit serviced, pool session to check out, 2 trips to Canaries (still expect the real cheap deals I used in Jan to tenerife) and then the Azores about June/July (which I promised myself this summer but ..... ).

Hoping I'll get good value for money by focussing and then I'll put it all away again until the next ding dong period. Also this strategy stops me getting tempted with last minute deals and not really planning.

Thought: is it best to get regs serviced and stowed or wait till the time and do it then

Well just wanted to drop by and hope you are all diving like crazy :)

would suggest getting regs serviced when you bring them out of storage - - mechanical movements and springs tend not to like inactivityand often perform better with no probs with frequent use - also, once serviced you can then check them out and take them straight back if any probs - you might find it hard to take them back months after you had them serviced!
