Hi All

Bryn and myself are organising a club dive to a 6 metre pool in Basildon on Saturday 11th July, this would be a good oportunity for trainees to practice their buoyancy control and to experience some depth (equalizing, controlled lifts, etc), we would also appreciate any help from those of you more experienced divers in assisting the trainees.

We have booked the pool for 2 hours from 11am - 1pm, afterwards there are refreshments in the cafe or bar. The cost is approx £7 per diver depending on numbers, if anyone is interested please email me dave@cityarchive.co.uk or see myself or Bryn down at Thurrock club on Friday (Belhus pool and club house).

The address for those of you who would like to visit their website is www.mavericksdiving.co.uk

Our branch uses the pool every month. Our regular pool night is Friday which is usually at Gloucester Park Swimming Pool. But on the last Friday evening of every month you will find us at the Film Studio Pool. It's a great facility.
The pool is only a mile from my house. I'm fairly sure I can drag along some other instructors if you need them. :)

Ocean Optics is also based at the site. Steve's the man if you want to talk about underwater camera gear.

regards

Tony

Hi,

Out of interest how much is it costing you in total for the hire - we went down and had a look at the site a few weeks but actually forgot to ask for that bit of info - d'oh!

Cheers

Speak to Fred at the studio. He's easy to talk to. I don't know off hand what my branch is paying, I haven't been interested enough to ask. Suffice it to say, it seems to be good value. :)
