On visiting the website for the first time in 10 days I expected to see a dozen or so posts per page. Unfortunatly I once again saw THIS and had to wade through the lot....
"The following 500 messages have been found.
( since your last visit: Thu, Jan 01, 1970, 01:00:00)"
Has anyone experienced same (& if so what can be done about it)?
Note: the "last visit" button usually works!

Hi Dave,
Just trying to understand the problem. What did you do before you saw this message? This is not part of the normal operation of the Forum software so it might be a) a feature of your own system or b) a hidden feature you have discovered.

Where did you see the "last visit" button?

Hi Dave,
Just trying to understand the problem. What did you do before you saw this message?
Hi Mike,
There are 6 subject headings. On entering each one I usually end up on "page 1" but can choose "since last visit" in order to speed things up....but this frequently results in the message shown in my initial post.
Where did you see the "last visit" button?
click to the right of each page number & read the options.

Hi Dave,
Now I see where you are. I didn't think this feature was much used as Page 1 (the default) almost invariably contains the most recent posts since that's how they are sorted. That'l teach you to stay away too long!
So its not a problem at all, just one way of using the forum.
