Has anyone dived the Betsey Anne off the Dorset coast. I cannot find anything on the web. I'd be grateful for any info before this weekend 9th and 10th Aug.

That's because it's the Betsey Anna (note the 'a') and was for a long time thought to be the Dagma. Try those search terms :-)

Hi,
We dived Betsy Anna in May this year. The information I gleaned from the net is as follows:
Betsy Anna is an 880 tonne 62 metre steel steamer that sank in 1926. She lies broken up in about 26m and boasts a boiler and a donkey boiler and the bows point towards the surface.
For GPS, have a look at the link below, at kyarra.com
We had fairly poor vis (about 3m) but it was during May when everything was getting blown out, so I'm sure it's settled a bit now. It was a really nice, even so with lots of life and massive congers in the boilers.

(Not sure whether it's Betsy Anna or Betsey Anna!)

Thanks to Keith, Trevor and Andy (regular contributors I see) for your assistance. I tried different spelling, but no the correct one. Doh! As for the issue of Dive mag, I totally missed that one. I shall dig it out and have a read.
Thanks again.

Hello there,
I dived this wreck a couple of weekends ago. It was excellent. There are more congers in the boilers than I could care to count. The vis. can be reduced as it si quite silty but well worth a dive. Fish life is stunning. be aware of currents - need to dive on slack water.
Happy Diving
