I think you'll find it's 200m swim freestyle (no time limit). I beleive it's laid down as part of the Ocean Diver training.

Hi

It is and its in the Instructor Manual. You should also be awair that there was not a box for it on the first batches of OD QRB sheets, they had to add it on. The more recent one's have it in them.

I'm having trouble finding the requirement in the 2002 Instructor Manual; and if I can't find it, there must be others.

Please tell us which page?

Thanks

Edward

Hmmm...next DTP update, "Contents Page" perhaps? or an index?
If only there was someway to communicate to "the powers that be" ;)
Cheers

If you want to hide something, put a link on your Home page. Doncha just hate this concept of information pull?

Hi

Sorry i was a bit slow to get back, poxy puter packing up again.

I read the new DTP several times myself before i picked this out as well. The addition to the origional page was in the first set of errata.

The introduction of the new DTP has been my big thing as DO, and i personally am very happy with it, even though i struggle a bit with a swimming test requirement other than general water confidence.

Hmmm careful Steve, you might set me off with the rival website
again. Starting to feel that way anyway if things dont start
moving soon.

I've often wondered about this. I'm not a good swimmer. However I've been messing about in water since I was tiny and I don't sink or panic I just don't seem to get anywhere. Fins cure this but being asked to swim up and down a pool was very boring for all concerned.

How you'd codify a test to cover things like that I don't know.
