I thought that I should mention how fortunate I was last week on a trip to the Red Sea. I was diving with Emperor Divers, and on the last dive of the day, and I nothiced that my camera had manged to come loose form my stab jacket.

After looking round, I couldn't find it so I carried on with the dive, extremely miffed that I had lost my camera.

Fortunately it turned up! One of the dive guides on another boat had found it bobbing in the water, and I picked it up later that afternoon from Red Sea College. :D

So this is just to let you know that if you do loose something then it may turn up. I was was very fortunate that the dive guide from Red Sea College handed it back in and I must thank him for his great honesty.

Also I must thank Duncan McAllister from Emperor for making a few phone calls on my behalf when he heard that I had my camera had floated off and locating it at Red Sea College.

A big thanks to you all!

you lucky lucky diver you!!!!

last month, whilst diving with ocean collage, after a dive and doffing kit, i always took the kit off in the same order - valuables such as camera/computer first, placing out of harms way on a shelf - then rest of the kit, swap tanks, then grab the valuables before going for some sun/drink, fill in log book etc....

on this occasion doffed kit, went to grab camera and computer and found camera wasnt there! grabbed computer and was convinced the camera had been lost or come unclipped on the ladder (swell was getting up and was a bit rough!)

neednt have worried - one of the crew had grabbed mine and a mates camera and stored saftely inside as he feared the roll on the boat was enough to drop both cameras off the shelf!

the crews and staff in the red sea CAN BE the best around!!!!

sounds like you also experienced human behaviour at its best!
