Hiya all, Have lost me marbles somewhere in UK. Happened about three and a half years ago, when I took up diving.

I blame Hans and Lotte Hass and laterly Jaques Cousteau. Was always glued to television sets when their programmes were on. H & L Hass although in black and white was still riveting for a daft kid who told everyone that she wanted to be a mermaid when she grew up. Hang on perhaps thats when I lost my marbles eh? Still life and horses got in the way until I retired. Bored out of my skull I remembered my soppy wish as a kid and thought, now I can do it! Hence taking up scuba diving. Next best thing, innit.

Actually, I am totally fed up, had to miss the christmas dive at Stoney, (no transport) have had the dreaded lurgy for the past week or so, not sure if I can dive next Saturday at Capers because of aforementioned DL. The house is a building site at the moment, and likely to be so for the foreseeable future, so I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs and looking for summat to do.

Sorry if you were expecting a serious discourse on something genuinely 'lost'. Hopefully I will be able to do the dive at Capernwray and all will be well again.

if anyone is going there come over and say hello. (Look for the socks)

Pat.

Pat at least it can only get better from here :D

I was baffled why any one dives with marbles

Hang on - it's the latest rage - underwater marbles

Hah! You'd be suprised at the things that I have dived with in the pastNigel. Sandwiches, bit squashed but perfectly edible. Mobile phone, that survived ok, thanks to a non leaky dry suit. Car keys, and all sorts of things which I won't list here or it would prove that I have indeed - 'lost my marbles'.As you can tell, I have obviously got too much time on my hands at the moment... What to do next???
