Dahab Paradise

Hi All,

I'm off to Dahab in March :D , staying at the Dahab Paradise hotel on the Blue Hole Road.

Has any one stayed there? there is a dive centre on site but don't know what is called, any help?

I wan't to do some specialities whilst there, any reccomended dive schools?

Also as Its just me and the wife and she doesn't dive, if your out there from the 5th to the 12th, drop me a e-mail.

Doesn't really answer your specific questions but the February issue of DIVE magazine has an article on Dahab.

Also, Emperor divers and Fantasea both have BSAC Training Centrs in Dahab according to the Centre locator.

My Name is Mohamed Ali and i am managing the dive centre Big Blue Dahab which located in dahab.
We have 2 branches one of them is located at the Paradise hotel where you will be heading next march.

Doesn't really answer your specific questions but the February issue of DIVE magazine has an article on Dahab.

My copy of this month's Dive Mag has just come through my door :) .

Generally speaking the article was informative but rather bland IMHO.

I do not know whether the writers/photographers go as guests of the resort or as paid Diver contributors but I DO think that the advice and reports here in the BSAC Travel site from our own members maybe more informative, even if I have written a few myself ;) .

The two points I have in contention with the article are that: I still think the immediate shore area surrounding the Blue Hole is an environmental disaster and that there was also no mention of the current closure to divers of the entrance at the top of the Canyon.

Otherwise I have no bones about the rest of the article as it was a nice advert for: Dahab, the travel operator, dive centre and the hotel. ;)
