PADI Junior Rescue Diver crossover

Hi All,

Just had an enquiry from a 14 year old PADI Junior Rescue Diver who would like to cross over to BSAC.

Have checked the SALT table but it does not mention Junior divers.

Anybody got any ideas on where we stand and what we can offer him in terms of a crossover?

Junior Rescue Diver should cross over as Sports Diver, same as for a Rescue Diver

It is the same course as Rescue Diver, just denotes that the person is under the age for getting normal Rescue Diver. When he comes of appropriate age, he would automatically be entitled to Rescue Diver.

Hi,
Just a thought, I know of Junior divers who have been restricted on depth, so although adult AOWDs do 30m, s/he may only have dived to max of 20/25 or whatever.
I'm sure you wouldn't be packing them off on a 35m dive as first in your branch anyway!
