PADI instructor crossover

Our latest recruit is a PADI instructor and has just completed a BSAC IFC. Can someone please confirm the current status and requirements.

Where / what can this person teach?
Does it need NQI supervision?

They have been told that they need to log 12 hours teaching but are not sure what. Is that pool, open water, class room, a combination of all three? Do they get a full NQI ticket at the end of the 12 hours?

Have a look at the Admin section of Technical resources in this web-site. Broadly, your recruit needs to log 12 hours minimum varied OW instruction. This is because IFC has been done, TIE and PIE are assumed. Satisfactory logged experience will persuad the OWI Chief Examiner to award OWI.
