Hi
I am a PADI master scuba diving Instructor and moving to the Fleet in Hampshire area. I've done most of my diving in recent years in warmer climates, so not overly experienced in UK waters. I have conducted a couple of PADI open waters in this country so gaining experienced all the time, the question I have, is how do I cross over to BSAC,

Easy.

Well first you need to join BSAC either via a club or direct.
Then you need to do an IFC.

After that read a few notes and log a few hours and you are a
BSAC OWI. <a href="http://www.bsac.org/learn/iip.htm" >http://www.bsac.org/learn/iip.htm</a>

But.......

While as a PADI MSDT your teaching skills are not in doubt,
as I bet you have found, doing it in UK conditions can be
vastly different. I'd suggest joining a BSAC club and
helping out in the cold. It will also familarise yourself
with the BSAC syllabus. Diving is diving, but there are a few
differences that warrant a bit of homework.

I would offer to help as we are a Hants based club, but we are
in Southampton and it might me a bit far from Fleet. If you are
willing to travel and want to get involved with the start of
our year (we are a Uni club), then drop me a line.
