Does anybody know contact details of an Ear Nose and Throat consultant with a special interest in barotrauma or diving himself and therfore more aware of the issue?
The closer to North Wales the Better but probably would travel anywere in the country.
I have looked through the list of BSAC medical referees and there was nobody of that speciality or it was not indicated.
I called NW hyperbaric unit and the technitian told me to see a normal ENT specialist as they don't have one.
The Duty Doctor at the London Hyperbaric Unit said i should go to My GP for an urgent referal to an ENT specialist.
(before anyone starts i called day time reception in those places not emergency numbers)
My GP refused to refere me, giving me the usual have some antibiotics and come back in 3 days... or if i insist go to A+E and see if they let me an EAT consultant.
(I'd rather leave A+E to those in imidiate danger of losing life or limb)
Failing ENT Consultant with special diving interest I would be quite happy about advice of how to find any competent private ENT specialist.
In Germany I would ask my GP which he would recomend or look one up in the yellow pages and would have the choice or 10-20 in a Liverpool sized City
Here all I seem to find are ENT surgeons based in hospitals.
Thanks in Advance
Stephan
