Who can sign OWI Log sheets?

I am currently a Club Instuctor and have attended the OWI course.I have filled in my log sheet for my OWI and it has to be signed by a NQI does this include a CI. or do they have to be a AI. ?

Interesting question

As the signiture is to confirm you spent the time on actual instruction and not the quality, I would have thought your Branch Diving Officer would do.

However, send an e-mail to the OWI Chief Examiner (mailto:<a href="mailto:owi.chief@bsac.com">owi.chief@bsac.com</a>).

I believe that the requirement is simply an "NQI". ie any CI or above can sign. This was certainly the case a couple of years ago when I did mine. I don't think that it has been changed.

Hi all the answer to your question:

All logged instruction should be countersigned by a BSAC NQI - Can be Club Instructor, Open Water Instructor, Advanced Instructor or a National Instructor.
In the absence of there being a branch NQI able to countersign your log your Area or Regional Coach can countersign.
