There are a few Sport Divers with Dive Leader in various states of progress - the old syllabus... and I have 1 Sport Diver want to start DL from the start - the new syllabus.

I was proposing to have all the divers particpate in the Theory (new course) and dives - but only assess and/or test where the older diver has not been signed off already. Apart from SDC elements.

Does the old syllabus hold for those part way through it or will they all have to conform to the new syllabus and credited with any tests or assessments already undertaken and signed off.

For example all the old syllabus have taken and passed thier theory test - signed off in blue book, some have done dives of which some are signed off and others aren't..

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

From BSAC website ....

"For any diver, who is part way through training for any grade, they should complete that grade under the current system, even after the new system has been introduced. The Transition Table will then indicate what additional elements need to be incorporated into the training for the next grade or where elements already undertaken can be credited."

So they carry on and finish the old DL, but do anything that's
now in the new DL prior to starting Advanced.

All you need is a list, but like you say you have the awnser.
When anything comes up in the new course, get your (old) DL's
to sit in.

Go ......
