Hi, I'm a BSAC Dive Leader and Assistant Instructor having done the old ITC in 1998. My membership to BSAC lapsed a couple of years ago and I crossed over to PADI as a divemaster and have recently qualified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Question is, I want to rejoin BSAC and want to know what extra training I'd need to do to get a BSAC Instructor certification?

John

From OWI Transfers - Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What will instructors from other agencies have to do to cross over to BSAC Open Water Instructor?

A: As under the present scheme, they must attend an IFC and then log 12 hours of open water instruction to apply for their OWI award.

Best to give HQ a ring 0151 350 6200 (reception) and ask.

Thanks Edward, I should have looked through the site a bit more thoroughly :(

I'll give HQ a ring soon as I've renewed my membership.
