Capenwray tomorrow anyone?

I've returned to diving after a 6 year break having moved from dive convenient Plymouth to not so Kendal. It slowly dawned on me how much I was missing diving and a holiday brought it all back.

I'm in the process of joining the local BSAC and I've finally managed to get a full set of kit together having sold all my gear when I moved.

I'm an Advanced Diver/C.I with over 500 dives logged including 20 in Dahab at the beginning of this month.

What I'm ideally looking for is someone who fancies buddying up for a dip in Capenwray tomorrow so I can carry out a check dive and get my weight sorted. I'm itching to get wet and have no buddy at the mo :)

Hi Peter, have you tried phoning Capernwray to see if theres one of the staff or an instructor who'd be willing to dive with you?!

Hehe, it's funny you should say that.

I find the guys at Capenwray brilliant but the one I got on the phone!

Much sucking of teeth, ooh Sir... HSE regulations, commercial diving....safety diver....have to pay for two peoples wages.... Rebreathers? Ooh far too dangerous...

I'm sure he had a valid point but I suspect there could have been a way around it :)

I got in on Sunday for a dip with Yazzyfooty. Suit was good but I was overweighted so there was too much air migrating to my ankles. Checked all my regs out and they are fine. Bought an AP200 inflator to replace the auto air. A great day and a big thank you to Yazz.
