You can do what you like providing you teach the sylabus. For the equipement based lectures I sometimes don't even both with slides

Not a problem - But you will need MS Powerpoint to achieve this, the Power Point Viewer which ships with the Instructor Manual, will only allow you to view the files with no editing ability.

Try adding some sounds and animation - Can break up those dull Boyles law lessons!!
