After using my club's borrowed BCD (made for blokes, cos of where the damned chest strap is!) I think it's time I bought my own. I'm leaning towards a Seaquest Diva LXT which is in my budget of around £230ish. Any other recommendations from experienced lady divers please?
Peronally I use a Northen Diver Guardian, which is a male BC but have never found this an issue with my femanine curves either over a semidry or dry suit. I find that a sharp pair of scissors dispenses with an unwanted chest strap quite easily :D
The only other jacket I have ever used is a Buddy Commando and again no problem. Try the club BC without the chest strap done up it might give you a better idea and if it works for you and then you will have much more choice of BC's and price comparisons

I used borrowed Buddy bcd from uni! Very reliable and i dont have a problem with the chest strap but i wear a size bigger as i want the 12 litre tank rather than the 10, also there isnt normally enough smalls to go around!

Wife and two friends both have Diva's and love them. Go with that

I'd agree with Pete. Bought my Diva 8 years ago and love it! Moved on to twinset now. Diva is fine for my single 12 - plenty of lift.
Only comment I would have about the Diva is that although it is a BCD, it has a "wing" style bladder, which some people do not like as all the buoyancy is at your back. I have never had an issue with this, though.
See if you can try one before you buy. I would certainly buy it again though, I love it! :)

As others have said, go with the SeaQuest. Has a good rep as a dedicated female BCD.
My OH has a Buddy Commando TD and she has no complaints :)
I wouldn't go for the Northern Dver. I've seen a couple after a few years and I wasn't that impressed with the quality.

Thanks folks. I reckon the Diva wins the war!
Will order one in time for our club diving in Pembrokeshire (can't wait!) and give myself time to try it out in the pool.
