We've been busy putting up lots of new destination pages in the Where section of the Travel Club website - and plenty more to come - keep your eyes peeled!. What we really need now to
make them special is YOUR diving trip reports.
Look through this forum and see how many times members post up asking what a particular place is like, or for recommendations on diving operators, and how many times YOU have the answer to give them. Problem is those answers soon get lost in the general archive of the forum. Why not write a short report on your diving holiday so that we can make it available to the benefit of all members?
As an enticement, we are about to launch a reward scheme. For each trip report published on the site we will send you a BSAC voucher for ?15.
It's not a contest. If you send us a report we will send you a voucher. Your report doesn't have to be anything fancy. A simple page of text with a few pictures, preferably not underwater ones will be fantastic. The text can be in the body of an email, or as a Microsoft Word attachment. The pictures should preferably be in a jpg format.

Send your reports to
<a href="mailto:alison.boler@bsactravelclub.co.uk">alison.boler@bsactravelclub.co.uk</a>

Looking forward to some good reading.

Allie

Dave,
Sorry - it isn't. Your report would have gone into the 2003 Trip Report Competition Draw - results given at LIDS this weekend. The Reward scheme is for ALL reports received from my posting onwards, until we launch another competition or different Reward scheme.

Would LOVE to have another report from you of course on a different location - and will gladly send you a voucher for it.
All the best

No Problem. I'll submit more reports in due course and I hope this incentive encourages other to do same. Some time ago I received a slagging (in response to one of my posts, repeated in "Dive") to the effect that "you're only trying to gain customers for your business". I found this unacceptable & invited the perportrator to provide a trip report on Pattaya (in which he could counter my views) but it has yet to appear on the website.

There are perhaps 20 of us who have documented our experiences for the club. I find this a pretty poor turnout, given the number of members diving outside UK per annum.

BTW-I thank those that have already submitted reports, particularly those that have done so more than once......& I thank Mike (webmaster) for his efforts in placing them online!!

Thanks to everyone who has sent in trip reports - vouchers have been winging their way out of HQ in gratitude. If you haven't had a look at the trip report section recently - follow the link on this mail. Some brilliant photos too.

Don't forget - we don't mind if you write an epic or a page as long as the information is useful to Travel Club visitors. And we don't care if you're a BSAC member or not - we value - and will reward - all divers' opinions.

I've put lots of country information up recently for South Pacific destinations but we have no trip reports. Surely someone out there has been to Truk or Bikini or Palau and can make us all green with envy by describing their trip?

What about Galapagos and the Malpelo Islands? Would love to have a report on them....

Bit embarrassing not to have The Sound of Mull, the Scillies and Scapa Flow isn't it. We are the British Sub Aqua Club aren't we?

Thanks

Allie

Bit embarrassing not to have The Sound of Mull

Say no more squire, I'm up there the weekend after next, plus there's the review of The Pergrine, which operates in the Sound of Mull, in this months BSAC Dive magazine.

Will look forward to that, Steve. Don't forget to let me have your address for sending on the voucher.

Have a great time and thanks in advance for telling us about it!
