Just found this site, gives you a daily breakdown of the cheapest fuel in your area

I use it myself and it's pretty good. You do have to register though, which is a bit of pain.

If you register though you can get an email letting you know how much it's gone up :(
I'm guessing lots of people are using as the email takes longer and longer to get through each month ;)

Just joined them. Quite good but I now feel guilty that I questioned that tesco's would be cheapest.

Ah but you should Waitrose is 1p a ltre cheaper ;)
