Has anyone done this trip from Israel to Egypt (or one similar) and would be able to offer a few tips? Has anyone up-to-date information on getting Egyptian visas with an Israeli stamped passport given the current climate? Is it better to get it prestamped before heading out?

Cheers,
Trev

I personally wouldn't want to do this.

Although things had got better and I think you could get into Egypt with an Isreali stamp in your passport before, I'm not certain about now.

However, with direct flights to Sharm and Hurgada it would be preferable to fly direct rather than through Isreal. Unless you have to. You can get an Egyptian Visa in advance from the Embassey in London. If you indicate you are likely to travel to Muslim countries the Isreali Passport Control have always been accommodating in providing their Passport stamp on a piece of paper. Might be your best bet.

Alas, I have to. I'm spending a week in Eilat before moving on to Hurghada.

I'll give it a whirl - cheers.
