I am looking to organise a club trip in the New Year to the Maldives on a livaboard. I am interested in peoples comments on boats they have used and times of the year that they found best to vist the area.
Regards.

We have just returned from a trip Aug / Sept on the MV Sea Spirit operated my Maldives Scuba Tours, this boat was excellent, great crew and fantastic Hosts, Jay and Erica. We went on a 12 night trip which we were very happy we had, if we had only done the 7 night trip we would have been very disappointed.
A liveaboard is definately the best way to go, you get to go as far as the weather allows and we went a long way north.
Jay and Erica also do a trip video which is great especially as Jay had to extend the video to fit in the 7 Mantas on the last day. Would not hesitate to use Maldives Scuba Tours again.
We went end of August which is supposed to be fairly wet, we had about 2 mins of rain on day one and two about 2pm and the only other rain we had was during the night but it did rain hard, sunny days every day.
Hope this helps
