If your looking for a good outfit to dive with in Tenerife I would recommend The Ocean Dream Factory. I would also avoid using the Atlantic Divers if your snorkelling as they are not as professional as the glossy ads make out.

Really? Well it seems their website has more accurate
information then the weak content on Ocean Dream Factorys.
Mind you seeing as this is the BSAC forum and Atlantic
Divers are British owned and have BSAC Instructors, I'd rather
stick with Atlantic, thank you.
Nothing worse then a plug for one outfit followed a slagging
off of another direct competative. If you had just said Ocean
were good it might have some credability. Saying Atlantic is
bad gives the impression that you might have a vested interest.
Mind you, your not exactly a prolific poster are you Mr.Hill.
One post ever on this forum and its this one!
Hmm. Doing a bit of marketing are we?

We arrive in Tenerife on Friday (24th) to spend a week diving with Atlantic Divers, so will let you know how we get on. I have to say that up front they could scarcely have been more helpful and friendly - very refreshing and impressive. I don't know when I've had such good service from a dive shop in advance of actually stepping through the door. For instance, it was supposed to be Bob and I plus our two daughters (12 and 13, JOWD, JAOWD) but at the last minute Bob can't go. They have been so helpful about sorting out an adult instructor to partner my older daughter in our group of 4, it's been most reassuring. They've responded very quickly to my emails with lots of info, all of it spot on. Plus they are offering to sort out thicker wetsuits for the girls if necessary. Oh, yes, did I mention that the offer of this kit is FREE!!! Hello??? Free kit from a diving school? When did that last happen to you? And the dive packs are really reasonable too. ?135 for a 10 dive pack incl tanks and weights. That seems very reasonable to me. I've spent nearly that much for a couple of days in the Caribbean and Sharm.
I'm really looking forward to getting out there now. Will of course submit a trip report ;) when I get back.

Update:
Great week with Atlantic Divers - what a terrific bunch of people - but what do you expect of a group led by a Scouser and a Glaswegian!!! Very well run diving, lots of laughs, superb with the kids and looked after mum very well too.
Have sent my trip report up to the webmaster, so look for it soon. Highly recommended anyway.
