Hi Paul
I normally wear glasses to currect an astigmatism but find when I'm underwater the magnifying effect of the water is enough to currect it without the need for special lenses. My prescription isn't very strong, have you tried without special lenses? Otherwise I think Specsavers do prescription masks
Rob
divelife can have optical masks made up to order via a 3rd party. all they need is the presciption, a mask which has 2 lenses not a single one and about 3 weeks turn around time.
got mine a few weeks ago and it has transformed my diving.
and i have the same eye thingy

Thanks chaps, I've found Go Sports Spec but to do a bifocal is £180 (Specsavers quoted £240!!) I was wondering if anybody had a direct contact with manufacturers - I'm also a little worried about buying a mask online - effectivaly a £200 pig in a poke!
Paul M
dive life charged me iirc £100 including the new mask i needed (£20 for the mask.) so its a cost of £80 for the lenses,
http://www.divelife.co.uk/ and give them a call.

Maybe its worth considering contact lenses?
If you rely on a prescription mask and you mask is lost or breaks you may have to skip a dive.

Most dive shops can get it done.
That way you pick a mask that fits and get that lensed.
I'm on my third with just half lenses because, as a short sighted geek, I only need a distance correction.

Found SDS at £110 and will try LDS tomorrow.
Would love to go the contacts route but they irritate my eyes.
Many thanks for your comments.

I am a spectacle wearer with varifocal lenses. Occasionally I will use contact lenses but these are only good for distance +3.50 left and +3.75 right. When I dive I only use a lens in the right eye because if I use lenses in both then I am unable to see my dive computer or smaller marine life such as nudibrancs but the quality of my distance vision is not as good.
I would like to wear both contact lenses and try the stick on bits for my mask for the close up work but I dont know what strength to get. Any optician divers out there?
