If you want local dives, good shore dives with aloha sprirt call Kona Boys (http://www.konaboys.com/pages/about-us), the only shop that is Native Hawaiian owned and operated. They are great people, big fun and will take you on wonderful dives.
At the other end of the spectrum is Jacks' Diving Locker (http://www.jacksdivinglocker.com/contact/welcome.htm), big, glitzly chrome plated and well operated, be sure to call Jack's about the Manta Ray dives.
