So what is the difference?

Is a dry suit unlined and requires a thermal liner teddy bear whatchamajiggy suit;

A neoprene dry suit is a dry suit lined with neoprene, therefore no teddy suit is required?

Some advice would be greatly received. I have been getting conflicting opinions on which type is best suited to UK diving.

I wrote it up (http://www.nigelhewitt.co.uk/diving/rant/index.html#drysuit) but in brief....
Two different materials.
Trilam, watertight but no thermal insulation.
Neoprene, thicker but you get some insulation.

You normally wear more under a trilam, ie a 'proper' thermal suit.
I prefer the trilam but you see warm, happy people in both.
Fit is vitally important, too loose and the air you put in it rushes from one end to the other and you are trimmed out like a bucking-bronco, too tight and you can't move and we get to laugh at you when you can't do your fins up.
