Gran Canaria

Hi everyone,

We have just booked a week in Gran Canaria and are wondering if there is any snorkelling on the south of the island? If not on the south, does anyone know if there is anywhere else on the island?

Probably the best area to go is the 'Cabrun Nature reserve' which is an area of coastline protected from fishing etc. There's quite an abundance of marine life there, and a nice sheltered beach.

I suggest you visit one of the local dive shops/centres and ask them about it and where it is.

It's a while since I dived there so can't remember which coastline of the island it's on.

I Went to a resort called Playa de Taurito in December, on the south west of the island, to an excellent dive centre called Canary Diving www.canary-diving.com. They have a list of dive sites on thier website. We went to Arinaga Nature Reserve, that was brilliant. Have a good time!!
