Thinking of diving Lundy with my club.
Are there any boats that leave from the mainland to do this or do you have to cross to Lundy and use the islandas base camp?

Hi Nigel,

dived Lundy many times but that was over 10 years ago. We took a charter out of Ilfracombe, North devon towing our own ribs.

I suggest you speak with the Ifracombe branch of BSAC for more upto date information, if I remember correctly there were a few sea dogs there ready to share their knowledge.

Their link is on the list of clubs on this site.

Hope this helps.

My club is going next month, when we were looking into it i think although there is outfits in lundy, there is more choice on the mainland, and a bit cheaper, we re staying in caravans, and doing daily charters out to lundy each day.

Hi, there are pros and cons to each method (We stayed on mainland 2001, on the Island 2002). I recommend you contact the Lundy Warden first of all, he is in charge of all diving and will give you lots of information. Sorry I haven't got his email to hand, but it should be easy to find.
Cheers, Lindsey.
