Hi Derek

The water temperature in March is likely to be around 24/25 degrees I would think. The thickness of the suit depends a bit on you and also how much diving you are likely to be doing. Personally I never get cold in the water (plenty of natural insulation :) ) and I always wear a 3mm all in one in the Red Sea winter and summer. The rest of the family wear a 4 or 5 mm and find it perfect.

Re the diving: sometimes if you are diving multi dives, day after day, you start to feel colder towards the mid/end of the week, probably because you are getting tired or acclimatising. My husband has got a thin neoprene "overvest" that he sometimes puts on with his suit if he starts to feel the cold.

You will see the dive guides in dry suits or 8mm suits in the winter because they find it very cold !!!

We're going again in mid Feb and we will be wearing our usual suits.

Have a great time

Allie
