Diving in Kauai in early December

I'm not sure this is the place to post this question but I was wondering about the quality of diving in Kauai in early December. I've been invited on a dive trip in early December to Kauai but I don't want to drain the savings account if the diving is going to be less then great. Any thoughts would help!

Not dived there myself, but my parents have been there along with some of the other Hawain islands, they brought me back some brochures, DVD's etc.

Judging from those it is good, but not 'travel halfway around the world purely to dive there' good.

However there are some pretty fantastic things to see on land (never seen Mum & Dad so pleased with a place and they travel quite a lot these days) and world class surfing, so maybe the chance to go there is not one to pass up.
